Having been recently anointed as a student field researcher, Julia travels across regions in order to complete projects and collect data from all corners of the world. She is particularly well-travelled for her age, and has grown to be an understanding, compassionate individual. Though she is often soft-spoken, this should not be mistaken for shyness as she is almost always enthusiastic about learning and understanding new things. Perhaps understandable of her occupation, Julia has a particular affinity for the stranger, often "unhuggable" Pokemon.

  Name: Shuppet (no nickname) Gender: Male Nature: Naughty Ability: Insomnia, Cursed Body Holding: - Moveset: Knock Off, Screech, Shadow Sneak, Night Shade Shuppet is a recently-hatched Pokemon with a lot to learn. Whilst he's taken to Julia extremely well, he's inherently naughty and takes great pride in his (mostly) harmless pranks. Shuppet currently knows a number of basic moves, but is a fast learner and Julia believes he shows great promise for the future. Julia is otherwise terrible for naming things, and so hasn't quite settled on what she'll call this little one just yet.

  
  
  
  

  Name: Aegislash, Aegis Gender: Male Nature: Adamant Ability: Stance Change Holding: Weakness Policy Moveset: Swords Dance, King's Shield, Shadow Sneak, Sacred Sword Julia's Aegislash is a kindly, loyal Pokemon with immense defensive capabilities. Though often preferring to support the team, his solo battle capabilities are also incredibly high. Despite his awkwardly sharp nature, he's a little cuddlier than one might assume, and enjoys a good pat on the shield once in a while. Aegislash was Julia's first Pokemon, having been given to her as a Honedge when she was small. He has come a long way ever since, and has formed a deep and unbreakable bond with his trainer.

  
  
  

  Name: Luxray, Tesla Gender: Female Nature: Hasty Ability: Intimidate Holding: Razor Fang Moveset: Wild Charge, Superpower, Ice Fang, Crunch Luxray was given to Julia as Luxio, taking its place as her second Pokemon a couple of years after receiving Aegislash. Luxray - dubbed Tesla - is a bold, often brash Pokemon who isn't above bull-charging opponents in battle. Whilst her bravery is commendable, this lands her in trouble more often than not as her sense of fear is a little dull. Regardless, she's a fiercely loyal companion who often turns her nose up at strangers. She has a strict no-petting policy, with the exception of Julia on a good day.

  
  
  

  Name: Golisopod, Flower Gender: Male Nature: Adamant Ability: Emergency Exit Holding: Insect Plate Moveset: First Impression, Liquidation, Leech Life, Spikes Golisopod, awkwardly nicknamed "Flower," was named after Julia's continual reference to a whimpod as being "her little flower" got out of hand and stuck. Despite what the nickname may suggest, this Pokemon is remarkably stoic and somewhat apathetic in nature, but displays a deep attachment to Julia. He joined Julia's roster during one of her expeditions, wherein he had suffered a slight injury to his carapace. The bond that bloomed as a result caused the sudden evolution into Golisopod, and he has not left her side ever since.

  
  
  

  Name: Xurkitree, no nickname Gender: - Nature: Serious Ability: Beast Boost Holding: - Moveset: Thunderbolt, Energy Ball, Dazzling Gleam, Signal Beam A recent addition, courtesy of a research team in Alola. Julia knows little of this Pokemon, but is working on trying to allow it to warm up to her. It is particularly aloof and often unresponsive at times, and unfortunately, Julia's Deoxys hasn't taken much of a liking towards it. Julia has a good concept of time and patience, however, and relishes the opportunity to understand something new and outlandish.

  
  
  

  Name: Deoxys, no nickname Gender: - Nature: Lonely Ability: Pressure Holding: Focus Sash Moveset: Return, Brick Break, Rock Slide, Psycho Boost Deoxys was discovered as a turquoise embedded beneath the surface of a comet. Having been successfully excavated, it was suspended in lab conditions until it was stable enough to regenerate into its true form. The resultant Deoxys became immediately attached to its caretaker, Julia, who had tended to its environment whilst it recovered. It joined her roster following the end of the project, and has shown absolutely no desire to return to the cosmos.   Name: Lucille Beck Age: 20 Gender: Female Hometown: Blackthorn City, Johto Occupation: Gym Trainer Height: 5'7 Weight: 55kg Build: Slim, athletic Complexion: Pale Hair: Cropped at the jawline, near-white Eyes: Pale blue Lucille is an oddly reserved individual, but possesses physical strength made obvious by her continual training and choice of Pokemon. Her quiet nature is perhaps misleading, for she is strong in both mind and body and is well-versed in both the physical and mental aspects of mixed martial arts. Adhering to this strength, Lucille is a Johto gym trainer, offering practice rounds for those aiming to complete the Johto League. However, despite her prowess in training both people and Pokemon, Lucille has yet to complete the Johto League herself. Due to the somewhat linear move-sets within her roster, she struggles greatly against ghost and flying types and has not earned their respective badges.

  Name: Hawlucha, Halcon Gender: Male Nature: Adamant Ability: Unburden Holding: Power Herb Moveset: Flying Press, High Jump Kick, Hone Claws, Stone Edge Hawlucha is Lucille's first Pokemon, and ultimately the initial inspiration for her current interests. He was gifted to her from a cousin abroad, becoming her partner from the age of nine. Hawlucha displays great enthusiasm and focus in battle, and always keeps an open ear for Lucille's voice. He is stoic and rarely intimidated, reflecting his partner greatly. Though he is perfectly friendly towards most people, he does not bode well when Lucille isn't around, and is completely unresponsive to other's commands.

  
  
  

  Name: Toxicroak, Moki Gender: Male Nature: Jolly Ability: Dry Skin Holding: Black Sludge Moveset: Sucker Punch, Brick Break, Earthquake, Rain Dance Toxicroak is Lucille's second Pokemon, hatched as a Croagunk and named after her childhood Dojo master. Typical of his species, he perhaps comes across as a little lazy and laid back, even when presented with a battle. However, he possesses fearsome, sustained strength, outlasting his opponents by continually healing through the use of rain dance. Despite all his prowess, he doesn't display any blatant enthusiasm for battling and generally couldn't care less about what's happening around him. He always seems content with everything, and is happiest when lazing around Lucille.

  
  
  

  Name: Gallade, Arrow Gender: Male Nature: Careful Ability: Steadfast Holding: Razor Claw Moveset: Night Slash, Zen Headbutt, Brick Blade, Leaf Blade Gallade was Lucille's first wild-caught Pokemon, found as a Kirlia during a trip to Sinnoh. Gallade is remarkably prudent compared to the rest of the roster, and treads with extreme precision during battle. He is articulate in his movements and focuses primarily on perceived weak-spots. Thanks to his move-set, he is the only member of Lucille's party who is able to deal with ghost types. Outside of battle, he is a little cautious of others, though is incredibly guarding of his friends.

  
  
  

  Name: Lucario, Luca Gender: Female Nature: Adamant Ability: Inner Focus, Justified Holding: Focus Sash Moveset: Thunder Punch, High Jump Kick, Aura Sphere, ExtremeSpeed Lucario was hatched from an egg given to Lucille by an over-encumbered daycare. She is dedicated and fast-learning, and displays unwavering loyalty towards her trainer. She is perhaps the most independent of the lot, though is known to be protective should the need arise. She often does not know when to quit in battle, and hates backing down from even impossible odds. For this reason, Lucille has sanctioned Lucario from sparring with Machamp.

  
  
  

  Name: Machamp, Champ Gender: Male Nature: Brave Ability: No Guard Holding: Lum Berry Moveset: Dynamic Punch, Stone Edge, Bullet Punch, Knock Off Perhaps deemed as the primera of Lucille's team, Machamp was traded to Lucille several years ago as a Machoke. As expected, Machamp possesses incredible physical strength and sturdiness to match. He is able to throw heavy and precise attacks, and is only thrown off by the infliction of status conditions such as poisoning and burns. When outside of battle, Machamp retains a prideful stance but is particularly gentle and well-mannered, overseeing the rest of the team with a watchful eye. Along with Moki, he has seen a considerable number of tournament victories.

  
  
  

  Name:Tyrogue, Scamp Gender: Male Nature: Jolly Ability: Guts, Vital Spirit Holding: - Moveset: Tackle, Bullet Punch, Fake-Out, Pursuit The newest and youngest addition to Lucille's team. Tyrogue is a little naive at the moment, but bears a lot of potential and shows great enthusiasm in battle. He's often hasty to land his hits and is easily punished by his opponent sometimes, but Lucille has confidence that he'll understand pacing better as soon as he picks up on some more advanced moves. Tyrogue's fighting patterns are somewhat sporadic at present, so who knows which evolution path he'll take?
